A Sick Bath Poem

Hello, steam; hello, warmth

a healthy breath, grumpy,

a bath with warm stones,

the sweat of old Väinämöinen.

From the sauna, I take a birch branch,

the healing power of tar.

The steam rises from the stones,

steam from the sauna's moss.

Let's get healthy,

Calm down,

for sore muscles,

as a cure for the wicked.
