Olli Vuorinen
Olli Vuorinen is a Helsinki-based contemporary circus artist, director, performer, and artistic director of Nuua Company. He is one of those Finnish contemporary circus artists whose work goes beyond mere technical displays of juggling, expanding into visual, theatrical, and conceptual expression.
Vuorinen graduated from the Académie Fratellini circus school in France in 2011 and has since built an international career as a performer, director, and founder of Nuua Company. His works have been performed in over 21 countries, and his work has also received recognition on international stages.
Through Nuua Company, Vuorinen has helped develop a direction in contemporary circus where juggling intersects with object theater, physical expression, visual dramaturgy, and the poetic potential of everyday objects. In his art, an object is not merely a tool to be manipulated, but a theatrical partner that influences movement, rhythm, and meaning.
Vuorinen’s work displays a rare combination of technical precision, visual thinking, and quiet humor. His approach has brought Finnish contemporary circus to international stages in a way that feels both ambitious and keenly observant.
