
Noora Ylipieti (BFA, 1981) is a multidisciplinary artist whose best-known body of work consists of over a thousand vampire-themed pieces Vulnerability, a collection of over a thousand vampire-themed works. The series, which has been growing since 2020, has been exhibited in Finnish art museums, and the works have been created during residencies in Finland and across Europe.
Ylipieti works with painting, objects, conceptual art, community art, sound, and junk. The artist explores otherness, empathy, and northern identity, while interweaving organic, human, and technical oddities.
Noora Ylipieti is a member of the Lapland Artists' Association, the Finnish Painters' Union, and the artist duo Vastiala-Ylipieti, among others. Her works can be found in the collections of the Kemi Art Museum, HUS, and the A-Clinic Foundation, among others.
